Was an attack of a medieval fortress that held political prisoners and was the flash point of the revolution. This is important because it shows the amount of power the king has over the other estates when it comes to imprisonment. -

This document stated the beliefs of the Enlightenment Philosophes. It created a sense of equality throughout all men and the natural right to liberty, property, and security. This is important because it gave the people a France a feeling of separation of powers. -
March on Versailles
Group of underprivileged people marched from Paris to the Palace of Versailles to see if it was true that they were working for the Royal family and nobilities luxury. This is important because it gave the people a voice in the corrupt monarchy that they had. -
Flight to Varennes
This was King Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette plan to escape from all the people of France that are revolting against them. But they weren't successful and only got a couple miles away. This is important because this showed thecowardness of King Louis XVI and the Marie Antoinette as they tried to leave the country with not telling anybody. -
Dissolution of National Assembly
France was announced as a constitutional monarchy. While the National Assembly was dissolved and replaced by a new political body. -

Desperate poor people of France decided to turn on the king. They went and attack the Tuileliers where the Royal Family was being held. -

Is interpreted as a wave of killings in Paris where people thought that royal armies would attack all of the Paris inmates and make them join in return they would give them freedom. -
Declaration of the Republic and trial of King Louis XVI
When Marie Antoinette and King Louis XVI were arrested it was time to come up with a new political body named National Convention which declared France a republic. -

These were cultural changes throughout the time of the Jacobins who tried too erase traditions of the Old Regime. This is important because this shows that someone has tried to cut ties with all of the bad history. -

After 6 weeks of debate in National Convention where some part of it wanted clemency but finally the French government sent there old king to be killed by guillotine. -

He was arrested in on July 27 and executed a day after because he was accused of being a tyrant.This is important because this led to the leadership of Napoleon. -

He started at the end of the revolution and started his dictatorship. He didn't change much of what the revolution brought to their land.
