    The National Assembly have finally accomplished their goals. The Declaration of the Rights of Man and Citizen was the major document of the French Revolution which follows the principles of Enlightenment Philosophers, such as Rousseau and Montsquieu. It abolished social classes.

    Louis XVI is executed by the Guillotine. He was the only King to be executed, and marked the end of Monarchy in France. He was put on trial (even the outcome was evident) and was charged with treason.

    After executing Louis XVI, Robespierre decides that he needs terror to be able to control the country. He took control of the Committee of Public Safety, which basically ruled the Country in a oligarchic manner.

    Robespierre the previous night had attempted suicide to escape his political enemies, but survived a bullet to the mouth. He was guillotined without a trial on July 28th, 1794. Ironically, he died in the fashion that many people he himself had ordered to death.

    Through the coup of 18 Brumaire, Napoleon takes over the French Directory and replaces it with the French Consulate, which later placed Napoleon as an Emperor.

    Napoleon is defeated at the Battle of Waterloo by the British
    Shortly after gaining power, Napoleon immediatly declares war on Britain. Two large forces were gathering to attack Napoleon, and he decided to attack before they could form a coordinated assault. The British came out victorious, but both sides lost around 25000 forces
