Estates General convened by King
The King called all the 3 Estates for meeting . The purpose was to find soulution to his goverment's financial problems. But in the meeting the 3 Estates were fight over power , but the Third Estate didnt have chance. It ended by many members of the Third Estate , diciding to form themselves into National Assmbly. (which marks the begining of the French Revolution). -
Tennis Court Oath
The king made the solders lock the Estates in the General Estate assembly. So the assemby met on a tennis court. They pledged not to disband unitl they adopted a constitution. -
Storming of the Bastille
The member of the National assembly feared that the king would take violent act against them .So they dicied to arm themselves , they went to Bastille , an acient prison to get guns. They ask the commander of the Bastille for weapons , but he refused , so the angre mob dicided to attack the Bastille. And they won , which showed the king that they had power. -
National assembly decrees abolition of feudalism
The National assembly eliminated all the feudal dues and services that peasants owned the landowner. And the National Assembly also eliminated the First Estate legal privileges -

Was the basic principles of the French Revolution - "Liberty, equality, and brotherhood". -
Women's March for Bread to Versailles.
King Louis made are the huge mistake , he called troops to Versailles to protect his throne. This angered the people for Paris, and caused fear , they thought that the king would crash the French Revolution. In October a crowed of 7000 woman march through the rain from Paris to Verville demanding bread ,the mob broke into the place. So in order to make peace with the crowed , king Louis agreed to return to Paris. -
Abolition of nobility and titles
National Assembly removed the nobility privileges, and made them pay taxes just like the other people. -
Black citizens of French colonies granted equal rights
The society of the Friends of the Blacks was group of Franch man and woman, mostly white , who were abolitionists. In February 1794 , the National Assembly leguslaed the Universal Emancipation decree , which effectively freed all the colonial slaves. -
Beginning of legislative Assembly
National Assembly completed its constitution. It created a new legislative body called The Legislative Assembly. Only taxpaying men at least 25 year old had the right to vote. -
Execution of King Louis XVI
The National Convention placed King on trial.The Girondins hoped to avoid the trail , but they were the minority. The more powerfull Montagnards wanted to execute the king to prevent monarchy again. In January 21, 1793 was executed by guilotine. -
Jacobin masses storm the Tuileries Palace, massacring the Swiss Guard, and the King imprisoned
National Assmebly didnt know what to do with the king. One of the Paris's citizen said that they should take action , group of citizens meet at the ctiy hall and stormed to tuileries place where the royal family was.The swiss gaurd coundnt let the citizens take King Louis , so the crowed fought and killed the guards , and took King Louis. -
Committee of Public Safety
Committee of Public safety was basically used to kill anyone who might threaten new goverment . Most of people killed were old monarchy or politicians who were against the new goverment -
Beginning of Regin of Terror
A period of terror that began when the French revolution entered the phase of political conflict namely between the political factions of theGirondins and Jacobins the guilotin became the method of settling disputes. The Law of Suspecs allowed the creation of tribunals to try and execute anyone who disagreed with the French Republic.. -

Robespierre is arrested and executed ending the phase known as The Terror.. -

Napoleon " First Consul"
Armed supporters of Napoleon surrounded the Directory legislature and forced members to turn the government over to Napoleon in Novermber 1799. This event was a coup d'etat , a forced trasnfer of power. -
Napoleon consecrated as Emperor
Befor becoming Emperor he ask the citizens if they really wanted him as Emperor. And most people voted yes , so Pope Pius VII came from Rome to crown Napoleon emperor of France
