    Louis was forced to hold a meeting of the Estates General to fix the money problems. It was the first meeting in 175 years. I think this was important because if it was the first meeting in almost two centuries which is clearly a cause for concern.

    The national assembly was formed to be the voice of the people in a way. there were two estates and this would be the third. they were referred to as the national assembly. I think this is important because it helped abolish monarchy.

    Olympe de Gouges published a list of what she felt were womens rights. Once the ideas were out they were rejected. She was found to be a threat and was executed. I think this is important because not many women spoke up about their rights this long ago.

    Napoleon was underminded his whole life. After years of training and schooling he was eventually appointed leader of an army going into the Alps. His troops may have been defeated but his stories and bravery made him a hero in his home. He eventually would become the ruler of not just an army troop but his nation.
