The King and Queen tried to escape from France dressed as peasants and were caught and put in jail. -

The National Assembly created the Bill of Rights stating the rights of man and citizen. -
January 21, 1793
They voted to execute King Louis XVI using the Guillotine and immediately France was attacked by Europe's kings. -

Robespiere the new leader who told the people that enemies were among them and that they needed to be executed was executed himself by using the Guillotine and France started being ruled by The Directory. -

The National Assembly marched to Bastille, a prison in Paris because they thought the king was storing weapons there and rebellions broke out in the villages. -

Arguements began about whether the country should keep the king or not because people had different views on how to rule the country.
