King Louis XVI, was spending too much money, and brought France into debt. Then King Louis XVI, decided to raise taxes to try to get France out of debt. So the middle class of France decided to revolt against the French government. -

National Assembly Forms
When the Third Estate, wanted the other two Estates to join in on their measure of powers, and the Estates formed the National Assembly. The National Assembly voted more radical than expected, and King Louis XVI, tried to stop them, but failed. -
Tennis Court Oath
After the National Assembly forms, King Louis XVI decides to tear down the building that the National Assembly met at. So the National Assembly met at an indoor tennis court, and hence the name the Tennis Court Oath. -
The Storming of Bastille
Troops strmed into Bastille prison, and let out 7 prisoners. This storming wasn't super effective, but it was used to show the hatred for the government. -
The Great Fear
Peasants, start to arm themselves, and attack noble manners. These acts started to form different groups that ends up fighting the French later in the war. -
New Declaration
The Declaration of the Rights of Man and of the Citizen is signed by the French National Assembly. This Declaration was to compromise priciples, rather than a constitution with legal effect. -
War with Austria
France decided to bring the French Revolution to Europe to help to help defend the French government from alliances with revolutionaries. The French political views of that time disagreed with the Ausrtians, so the French went to war with Austria. -
King Louis is Executed
King louis XVI is executed, by voters, with a vote of 361 to 360. After his death a new constitution was put into place for a few years. -
Reign of Terror Begins
The Reign of Terror was when people took harsh measures against people who were accused of being the Revolution's enemies. The Reign of Terror had a wave of executions. -
New Constitution
This constitution, was made by the National Convention, and effectively helped end the French Revolution. This constitution was in effect until Napoleon's Coup. -
The French Revolution Ends
Napoleon Bonaparte, stages a coup, which leds to his dictatorship, and eventually he proclomation as emperor. When the French Revolution ended, the French Republic was put to a close. -

The Pharaon arrives into Marseilles, and Dantes visits his Father. Then Dantes plans his wedding with his fiance Mercedes. -

At Edmond's Bethrothal Feast, he is arrested, and is accused of being a Bonapartists. Dantes is later thrown into jail. -
100 days of Napoleon Ends
Napoleon leaves France on a Warship, and goes to a British Isle. While Napoleon leaves, King Louis XVIII, takes power of France, and Napoelon's reign ends. -
Dantes escapes jail
In prison Dantes meets Abbe Fariah, who becomes his teacher. Abbe Fariah helps Dantes form an escape,plan but Abbe dies before the plan was put into action. Dantes later escapes by himself. -
Dantes gains a Fortune
Before Dantes escaped, Abbe told Dantes of a fortune on the island of Monte Cristo. After Dantes escaped, he goes to the island, and finds the fortune. -
The Count helps a friend
The Count helps the Morrel fammily, by giving them money to pay off some debts. The money from the Count kept the Morrel family together, and prevented Monsieur Morrel from commiting suicide. -
The Count moves to Paris
The Count moves to paris, where he gets into contact with some of his acquantices he had in Marseilles. -
The Count's changes
The Count was in Paris to get revenge on his enemies, but once he gets into contact with Mercedes, he changes into a more thoughful person. -
The Count Accepts Albert's Apology
The Count is nice enough to accept Albert's apology, which stops the duel between them. Which shows his character changing, into a better person. -
The Count helps Mercedes
The Count gives Mercedes money, after she dishonors her husband, and doesn't use her husband's money. -
The Count with Maximillien
The Count helps Maximillien when he is heart broken, because he thinks his lover is dead. The Count also sets Maximillien as his son. -
The Count helps a couple
The Count helps bring Maximilien and Velntine together. He also gives them advice for the rest of their lives, which was to hope and wait. -
The Count leaves
The Count leaves the island of Monte Cristo with Haydee, and moves to an unknown area.
