    The Palace of Versailles was a royal residence created by King Louis XIV of France. This palace was built to display the wealth and power of the nation. The palace would also be home to the French Kings up until King Louis XVI (1793).

    King Louis XVI Married Marie Antoinette
    Young Louis XVI married Marie Antoinette when she was 14 and he was 15. These two last for a while but they end up both dying from guillotine in 1793 due to treason and helping the enemies.

    This was a period of political and societal change throughout France. Many mass riots would happen throughout this and then they would create a new constitution for France to bring it out of rough times and create a new ruling for the people.

    The Tennis Court Oath was an oath many representatives took that they would come together and help France until they had a steady and powerful constitution for their Nation. The meetings were taken in a tennis court giving it its name.

    This was a revolutionary insurgent in which they would try to seize the medieval armory and the political prison. Many factors led to this but in a simplified version, they went and demanded ammo, got refused, stormed it, and released the seven prisoners held there.

    This set of rights was created for everybody and stated that everybody is born free and has equality. These rights secure liberty, posterity, and security for the people of France.

The people didn't like this and following the rules of the reign of terror he was sentenced to an execution and would be killed with the guillotine a common execution device in which a falling blade would cut their head off.

    This was a new set of laws that would replace the worst ones from the pre-French Revolution. Following the Roman code, it was divided into three sections, the law of persons, things, and modes of acquiring ownership of things.

    This was when Napoleon upright just crowned himself to show the start of his reign as emperor. This showed France that he didn't need approval from the church to have power and created a symbolism that he was emperor because of who he was and not what the church says.

    This was a battle in which Napoleon would lose 70,000 soldiers within one day. This would halt Napoleon's journey across Europe. He invaded Russia because he wanted the Russian Leader to quit trading with British merchants so that they could pressure for peace.

    This was when the British exiled Napoleon to the island of Saint Helena. He would spend his life there and then eventually die at age 51.

    This was a battle between Napoleons French Army and a coalition led by the Duke of Wellington. They fought at this battle because Napoleon hoped he could tear this coalition apart as they were against him. Napoleon would end up losing this.
