The Burbons of France became rulers of not only France, but Italy, Navarre, and Spain.
The Bourbon family became important in 1268 and were rulers until 1792. -

Henry IV
Henry IV ruled from september 1399- March of 1413. -
Louis XIII
Ruled from 1610 to 1643.
Became king of France after his ninth child was born. -
Louis XIV
Ruled from 1643 to 1661.
Engaged in the Franco-Dutch War 1672-1678. -
Louis XV
Ruled from 1710-1774.
Declined royal authority which led to French Revolution in 1789. -
Louis XVI
Ruled from 1774-1792.
Executed for treason by guillotine (beheaded). -
Louis XVII
Ruled from 1793-1795
Began ruling at age 8.
Death suposedly by tuberculosis.
Died at age 10 -
Lasting Effects
The Bourbons took part in quite a bit of wars.
Very interesting deaths and accusations.
Ruled multiple countries until relatively recently.
