    Mobs of people prepared to take a bunch of muskets from Paris Arsenal. The next day they attacked.

    The people who owned the plantations considered it. It threatened the hierarchy.
  • Declaration of rights of Men & Citizen

    The National Assembly was getting complaints. They took them into consideration an made this document.
  • March on Versallies

    Women were starving so they started demanding food. They rallied around the local bakery protesting.
  • The colony "St. Domingue" is abolished

    Africans attacked factories. Causing total kaos in the colony, leading to the abolished colony.
  • The French Assembly granted free blacks full French rights in the St. Domingue

    The assembly granted blacks their full french rights, leading to many rebellions. As a result, 2,000 whites and 10,000 blacks died.
  • Beheading of Louis XIV

    The king was tried for treason after refusing the new constitution.
    He was found guilty and sent to the guillotine.
  • Reign of Terror

    People were sent to the guillotine for little or no reason. About 40,000 people perished.
  • French Admit defeat & evacuate forces

    About 50,000 of France's men died. Their military forces failed.
  • Napoleon is emperor

    He started out in the military forces. He worked his way up, creating the French Empire.
