Sugar Axt
The Sugar Act changed the tax on imports from the Caribbean from 6 cents a gallon to 3 cents a gallon. The colonist where upset and resulted in protest. -
Stamp Act
The Stamp Acts caused all printed material to have a stamp on it, that stamp was not free. Newspaper writers and lawyers boycotted there jobs because the cost of material which worked and the law was passed but then it brought the Declaratory Act. The people reacted in boycotting their jobs and where angry with the government. -
Declaratory Act
The British parliament accompanied the repeal of the stamp act. The people reacted with anger that more acts where coming. -
Townshead Act
The Townshed Act initiated tax on paper, glass, tea, paint. The people reacted by stopped buying British goods to avoid taxes. -
Tea Act
The Tea Act allowed them to drop tea on colonieswich dropped the price of tea substantially. Which caused the colonist to dress up as Indians and throw what is equivalent now to 4 million dollars worth of tea into the ocean. -
