    The French and Indian war was the result of England declaring war on France for control of Pennsylvania. The war began in May 1754 because of these competing claims between Britain and France. For the next decade, fighting took place along the frontier of New France and British America from Virginia to Maine. The war also spread to Europe.

    The Boston tea party was the result of a taxation on the settlers for the tea that was being shipped to the US.The tax was opposed by the colonists and on December 16, 1773 a group of colonial activists masked themselves as Mohawk Indians and boarded the ships containing the tea and dump all 342 containers of tea into the harbor.     The Intolerable Acts in 1774 was handed down by the British Parliament as punishment for the colonists dumping tea into the harbor. The Boston Port Bill ceased shipping into the Boston harbor until Massachusetts paid all the taxes that were owed on the tea dumped in the harbor and reimbursed the East India Company for the loss of the tea.     The Treaty of Paris was an end to the American Revolution which included The French and Indian War and the Boston Tea Party. In this treaty, France gave England all the French Territory east of the Mississippi River, except for New Orleans. The Spanish gave up east and west Florida to the English in return for Cuba.     The War of 1812 was the cause of Great Britain enforcing the impressment of naval American sailors and forcing them to fight on British war ships.Britain also supported the Native American resistance in the expansion of the U.S. because Native Americans were being forced adopt the settlers’ ways or forcing them to sell or abandon their land.

    Treaty of Ghent in 1814
    The war was bought to an end by a compromise between Britain and France. Britain terminated the restrictions on commercial trading and the impressment of American sailors. The causes of the war were removed which left them with no reason to continue fighting.
