After the death of the Louis the Pious, internal disputes, and political chaos, the Franksih Kingdom lost authority over its territories and split into multiple areas. This division led to the end of the Frankish Kingdom. -

The first use of the Missus Dominicus was by Charlemagne. The Missus Dominicus was an official commission of the Frankish Kingdom to supervise administration. -
Defeat of Frisians
Pepin II lead the Franks to defeat the Frisians. From this, the Frankish Kingdom gained control of Dorestad.
