Great Fear
This event occurred from 20 July to 5 August 1789 in France at the start of the French revolution. France was in an uproar because of the worsening grain shortage of the spring, the grain supplies were protected by the local military due to rumors that bands of armed men were roaming the countryside, people were scared and didn’t know what was going to happen.
