John Trumball Sr.
Trumball was the only Colonial Governor that supported the American cause/side in the revolution. This is in relation to our current study because we have been talking about him in class and doing notes. -
John Witherspoon
Witherspoon represented New Jersey. He singed the Delecration of Independence and was also the president of Princeton University. This is related to the current unit of study because we have been studying the Declaration of Independence in class. -
Charles Carroll
Carroll signed the Declaration of Independence. He was a representative at the Consitutuional Convention. Was one of the first sentators from Maryland. THis in relation to our cuurent unit of study because we have been talking about him in class and what hes signifance for. -
John Jay
Signed the Declaration of Independence. Helped negotitate the Treaty of Paris in 1783 that ended the American Revolution. This is relation to our current unit of study because we have been talking about him in class. -
Benjamin Rush
Rush was one of the Founding Fathers. He attended the Continential Congress. This is in relation to our current unit of study because we watched a video over all the different people and what they did -
John Peter Muhlenburg
Soldier in Colonial. Muhlenburg was one of the first offical elected U.S. congressman. This is related to our cuurent unit of study because we have been learning about him and what he did during his time. -
Declaration of Independence
July 4, 1776, America gained its freedom and became a free country. This is in relation to our current study because -

U.S. Consitution
It is fundamental laws and citizens are guaranted certian rights. We have been learning the ten amendments and different laws. -
Fifth Amendment
Once you are convited of a crime, the judge can’t convict you again of the same crime. They also cannot kill you if you did not do anything. This is relation to our current study of our unit because we just did a project over the amendments. -
Eminent Domain
"The of the government or its agent to expropriate private property for public." -
Bills of Rights
The Bill of Rights is the first ten amendments. This is related to what we are learning right now, because we just did a project over the ten amendments. -
Alex de Tocqueville
Tocqueville came to America to observe U.S. government and politics and stated that there are 5 vavlues that are crucial to America's succes. We learned 5 vaules
Liberty: Individuals are free to purse their own work.
Eqalitarianism: There are no social distinctions.
Individualism: Hard work and labor are key to becoming succesful.
Populism: Involves allowing all individuals to have voice and their opinion.
Laissez-Faire: Invovles a belief that govn should not impede individuals achivemrnt/goals. -
