Jonah and Chip were playing basketball at Jonah's house when his sister, Katharine, came out with a letter for Jonah The letter had no details about the sender. (Haddix 1,2) -

In the secret cave and the leader tries to tackle them, but Jonah gets hold of the leader's taser and said "I have the taser stay back!" (Haddix 300) -
Climax
The leaders were time travelers and they plan to send Jonah, Chip, Katharine and one other boy, named Alex, from the group back in time. The leader says, "Welcome to the fifth century and good luck." This is the the climax because this is were they start to travel in time and from now on they will travel in time a lot so their life changes. (Haddix 314) -

"She was deathly pale, and her eyes were huge and round as if she has been terrified out of her wits" This shows that Katharine is terrified. This is direct because it says in the text that she is terrified. -
