Korean War Begins
This was one of the most important war of the Cold War including communist North Korea and democratic South Korea. The U.S obviously wanted to help the South from getting invaded by the North, to stop the spread of communism or containment. -
Segregation Ruled Illegal in U.S
Brown vs Board of Ed had overturned the Plessy vs Ferguson case. The quote "seperate but NOT equal" was made from this case and was a turning point in the Civil rights Movement. This was just the start of the movement, their was more to be done to get rid of racism. -

The race of the two superpowers, The U.S and Soveit Union. This race was to show who was the greatest power of the world and the first to be in space and on the moon, more of who is the greater superpower. Soon the U.S had put a man on the moon which made a statement around the world. -
Castro Becomes Dictator of Cuba
Castro becomes the dictator of communist Cuba. This was also a conflict with the Cuban Missile Crisis, during the Cold War. -

The goal of this invasion was to overthrow Castro and turn Cuba into a non-communist country. This invasion on southern Cuba by the CIA of the U.S. This mission or invasion was a failure which had strengthed Cuba. -

Cuban Missile Crisis
Crisis in the Cold War, the threat of the Soviet Union to launch missiles to the U.S from Cuba. This was captured by spy drones in the sky by the U.S and the U.S had ordered a quarintine of the ships and Cuba had disarmed their missles after the two supoerpowers came to a resolution. -
Martin Luther King Jr. Makes His "I Have a Dream" Speech
This mesmerizing speech made by Civil Rights Activist, MLK, was spoken to over thousands of people centered around the Lincoln Memorial. Called the March on Washington and this speech was made to end segregation and racism. Also where Forrest Gump made his speech, that no one heard and also reunited with Jenny. -
