Little Rock Nine were a group of African American students enrolled in Little Rock Central High School in 1957. Their enrollment was followed by the Little Rock Crisis, in which the students were initially prevented from entering the racially segregate. Forrest was at the school when the people were trying to prevent them from going in the school. -

President Obama was elected as the first African American President to be in office. it was the first year that Forrest Gump Jr. could vote and he was excited to vote for Barack Because he believed in what he was campaigning.
