In March of 2005 Yahoo aquired Flickr and Ludicorp. The estimated cost was $35 million. -
Limits of uploads
In December of 2006 upload limits were increased to 100 Mb from 20Mb . -
Old-Skool members
In January of 2007 Flickr anouced that members who created an account before the Yahoo Acquisition would be required to associate their account with a Yahoo account by March 15 to keep using the the service. -
Ended
On May 3, 2007 Yahoo! anounced that Yahoo! photos would be ended so they could focus there company's efforts on Flickr. -
Shut-down
On September 20, 2007 Yahoo! photos officially shut-down. -

yahoo! photos shuts down for Australian users and all photos and accounts were deleted. -
Uploading videos
In April of 2008 Flickr started letting paid subscibers to upload videos up to 90 seconds in lenght and 150mb in size. -
HD videos
On March 2, 2009 Flickr added the ability to upload and view hd videos. -
