  • The First New Deal (1933–1934)

  • Emergency Banking Relief Act

    One of the first new deal. It was signed to prevent any unethical banking actions. It was meant to fix the banking system and was a relief practice.
  • Civilian Conservation Corps

    Civilian Conservation Corps
    This was a reform plan to solve unemployment at the Great Depression. They did this by having men do conservation projects to bring them on track. It also helped conserve the environment. This was the first new deal.
  • Agricultural Adjustment Act (AAA)

    Agricultural Adjustment Act (AAA)
    This was suppose to increase the supply of agriculture and decrease the demand. However, this act did not last long. It was mean to be a recovery plan.
  • Home Owner’s Refinancing Act (HOLC)

    Home Owner’s Refinancing Act (HOLC)
    This gave money to the people who refinanced their houses. This was meant to be a reform type of deal. They now do this today for people. Part of the first new deal.
  • Public Works Administration (PWA)

    Public Works Administration (PWA)
    This was meant to build large structures such as bridges and schools. This was a recovery action because of a need for schools and buildings after the Great Depression. It was part of the first new deal.
  • Second New Deal (1933-1939)

    Signed by president Roosevelt.
  • Resettlement Administration

    Resettlement Administration
    This was part of the second new deal. This helped give people who lived in poverty homes to live in. This was reform to resolve the crisis of the Great Depression.
  • Social Security Act

    Social Security Act
    This was meant to have people with disabilities retire, whether it is mental or physical. It was part of the second new deal, and it was a relief action plan.
  • Wagner Act (NLRB)

    Wagner Act (NLRB)
    Part of the second new deal. It made it so employers cannot interfere with workers unions fighting for workers rights. It was taken to action immediately, making it a relief action plan.
  • Soil Conservation Act

    This was meant to pay farmers to take it easy on the crops, which means, not planting too much crops. This action took place to preserve soil. This was part of the second new deal and was a recovery plan.
