    First Civilizations in Sumer & Egypt

    Civilizations started to form in Mesopotamia known today as modern-day Iran. Sumerian civilization inspired the first written language. Also, civilization started in Egypt where the cities were not fully established.

    A smaller civilization took place in Nubia south of Egypt in the Nile Valley.

    A third-early Civilization Norte Chico served as a major population center with 25 urban centers and Cara was the city in the Supe River valley.

    This civilization was known to be in early urban culture on the Indian subcontinent. A theory presents that climate change may have caused the declination of the Indus Valley Civilization around 1900 BCE.
