The pyramids
The first king to get a pyramid built in his honor was King Djoser. This tomb was the first pyramid built in honor of his death. Two more were made in honor of other Kings' deaths. -

Bronze Age
At this time, it was discovered that bronze tools were much stronger and were better for working and combat. -
788 BCE
Iron age
When iron was discovered, more tools and weapons were made. Like bronze, these tools were strong and very impactful. They aided in wars and fighting and were lighter than bronze. -

Roman Law for Land
Romans created a law that limited the amount of land you could take after winning a battle. This meant that there was more equity with land, not one person could take a large area of land after a battle, it was divided. -

Plague of Justinian
The Plague of Justinian killed half the population of Constantinople and overall ⅓ of the empire as a whole. This was a huge loss for Rome because this meant fewer workers, fewer soldiers, and fewer civilians in their Empire. -

Gunpowder revolutionized war and fighting. With its military benefits it negatively affected population because of its increased firepower and affected pollution. -

The voyage of Christopher Columbus was an important part of environmental history. His goal was to find more efficient trading routes, however, "discovered" America. -

Exchange of goods
Europeans were focused on mineral wealth, things such as gold and silver. There was a lot more than just minerals, however. There were trades of agricultural things, such as corn and cocoa powder, and livestock, horses, cows, etc. -

The voyage of Ferdinand Magellan
This voyage was to actually find a more efficient trading route this time. Magellan was successful in his objective, however, was killed by natives. This was important because Spain now had a western route for trading at the expense of Ferdinand Magellan's life. -

The Conquistadors
The conquistadors' job was to capture land in the Americas. They were successful in this and founded the Spanish colony of New Spain in Mexico. -

Francisco Pizarro
Pizarro was one of the first generations to explore the new continent after Christopher Columbus. Pizarro ambushed the Inca emperor and requested gold for their emperor's life. When he received it, however, he killed the emperor and sent tons of bullion back to Spain.
