Archduke Franz Ferdinand was a part of the Austria-Hungary Empire. His Death Started the War. -

The Lusitania Farried people and Goods across the Atlantic Ocean between the US & Great Britain. The Ship was hit by a torpedo and sent it sinking. That made some Americans pretty upset that was pretty much the start of the US coming into WW1 -

This made it so women could take part in voting, Being in the war, working. Before this women were pretty much only maids or stay at home mothers. It was the father's job to bring home money and provide for his family, but women want to help. So a law was passed saying Women can vote! Also women be a nurse or helper in the War. Women were now able to work 8 hour days in factories and bring home more money. -
Prohibition
Prohibition banned alcohol. The people were warned that alcohol was going to illegal to buy. The wealthy and bars bought up alcohol before so they would be stocked up, and have enough to use/ sell -
Keating-Owen Act
This was the 1st law set for child labor. Children could work to help make extra money for the family. Children could only work for a certian amout of time
