    First Month // First Trimestor

    During the first month, the zygote becomes a blastocyst which than becomes an embryo. The first signs of the baby's heart, lungs, and face begin to show. Digestive system starts to develop and the ears and eyes form. At the end of the month, the embryo will only weigh under 1 ounce and be 1/2 inch long.

    Second Month // First Trimestor

    All of the major body parts have formed. The ears, eyes, and nose are developed. Tear ducts begin to form and the heart starts beating. The hands and feet take shape. Fingerprints develop and baby moves often though the mother can't feel it yet. By the end of the month, the embryo will weigh .56-.8 in. and only weigh as much as a peanut.

    Third Month // First Trimestor

    The baby goes from an embryo to a fetus. The bones begin to grow and the kidneys start working. Fetus moves often though the mother can barely feel it. Tooth sockets form and fingerprints appear. All parts of the body are formed at this point. At the end of the month, the fetus weighs 1 oz. and is 4 in.
