Fashion in the 1990s consisted of oversized clothing, colourful checkered print, knee socks, animal print, metallic materials, and crop tops. A lot of fashion in the late 90s was inspired by the release of the movie Clueless, the main character Cher wore multiple outfits and one of the most popular ones was the yellow checkered set. Y2K Fashion-Velvet Tracksuits, Baggy Jeans
Y2K fashion included velvet tracksuits, rhinestones, baby tees, yoga pants, low-rise jeans, capris, and uggs. The colours green, pink and purple were also very trendy. Youtube was created in 2005, this may have affected fashion fads based on what people saw others post online.

The 2020's fashion so far consists of casual blazers, baggy jeans, funky purses, loafers, mini skirts, flared trousers, chunky boots, leather jackets, and oversized tees. Outfits in the 2020s have been styled in very unique and creative ways. Not everyone had access to clothing stores during the COVID-19 pandemic so they learned to create multiple different outfits with fewer clothing items.
