    The first Final on radio - in fact the first tie in any round - was Bolton Wanderers v Manchester City in the final in 1926 is the first FA Cup tie to be broadcast on radio. But even then it was only relayed to public halls in Bolton and Manchester and wasn't a proper public broadcast.

    Preston North End vs Huddersfield Town in the final in 1938 is the first FA Cup game to be broadcast in full. The game was shown from Wembley on the BBC.

    Blackpool defeat Bolton Wanderers 4-3 in the highest-scoring FA Cup final in history. The game was given the title of the "Matthews final" following the fantastic performance of Blackpool winger Stanley Matthews.

    The FA Cup final is taken out of England whilst Wembley is rebuilt. Liverpool beat Arsenal 2-1 in the 2001 final in Cardiff's Millennium Stadium.

    The FA Cup final comes back to Wembley in 2007 where Chelsea beat Manchester United 1-0 in front of 89,826 supporters in the new Wembley Stadium.
