Exposition
We are introduced to a fireman named Guy Montag, his job as a fireman is to burn books. We are also introduced to Clarisse McClellan who is a 17 year old girl, that seems very crazy, because she disagrees on the idea of burning books -
Montag and Clarrisse
Montag walks with 17 year old Clarrisse, who is considered werid for thinking and questioning -
Montag and his wife
Montag finds his wife Millie just laying on the bed, he then finds out that she overdosed on pills -
Montag's love
Montag then questions if he ever loved Millie, or if Millie loved Montag. Then he found out that he never really remembered how they meet, which helps him draw the conclusion that they never really loved each other even thou they're married -
Death of a thinker
Clarrisse is killed by being ran over by a car, and Montag becomes upset that the person that influenced him to think was gone -
Secret out?
People start to get suspicious of Montag, and his actions they worry that he is thinking, and remind him who he really is a fireman. -
Secret Library
Millie gets upset at Montag for thinking, then Montag shows her his small library full of books, that he secretly saves from the fireman. -
Reading Books
After revealing his secret about his small library he then starts to read some of the books, and sees what Clarisse was talking about. -
A thinker
Mongtag then wants to be able to think better, so he talks to Faber, and convinces him to make him a better thinker -
The fireman attacked
Montag hears the firemen alarm, and gets ready to suit up, to burn books, but then relises that he is target, because they found out he has been hording books in his house. -
Montag vs. society
Montag, is not being chased by firemen, and other people, so he then decides to try and set other firefighters up, and frame them for keeping books in their house so that their house would burn like Montag's did, he achieved this by placing books in the firemen's houses. -
A betrayal
Montag finds out that Millie turned him in to the firemen, bececause she pulled the fire alarm. -
A unwanted war
As a result of all this, war is declared on Montag's town, for reading books, and all the other problems caused by books. -
Montag and Faber
Montag gets to Faber after getting hurt, but then Montag decides to return to his town to help out, and change the ways of his society, so they can be able to print books again.
