The Government was spending more money than what it takes in. Also in the late 1780s bad harvests send food prices soaring brought hunger too poorer peasants and city dwellers. -
Louis XVI Calls the Estates General
Louis calls the estates general to meet at Versailles, and has the three esates prepare notebooks listing their complaints in preparation. -
Parisians Storm the Bastille
The Mob thought that there was gunpowder in the Bastille, and when they wanted to go in the commander of the Bastille wouldn't let them, he opened fire on the mob. The Mob eventually killed the commander and 5 guards. The fall of the Bastille was a wake up call to Louis XVI. -
National Assembly Acts
Novels voted to end their own rights.
Feudalism was abolished.
The assembly issued the Declaration of Rights Of Man and the Citizen.
Six thousand women marched from Paris to Versailles to bring the king back to Paris. -
Threats from Abroad
The emperor of Austria and the king of Prussia issued the Declaration of Pilnits. In the Declaration monarchs threatened to intervene to protect the French monarchy. France prepared for war. -

France went to war with Prussia and Austria -
Monarchy is Abolished
They execute the king, and only a couple months later, they execute the queen. They both get their heads cut of by the Guillotine. -

Robespierre was going mad and he was responsible for many peoples executions. He made himself godlike at one point and the people didnt like that at all, so they finally executed him with the guilottine. -
Third Stage of The Revolution
Moderates produced a new constitution, setting up a 5 man directory. -
Spread Of Nationalism
Nationalism, a strong feeling of pride in a nd devotion to one's country spread throughout France.
