These people established many settlements across central Africa. They also established many states that are here today. These are the native people of Sub Saharan Africa -
Gold and Salt Trade
An empire such as Mali becomes rich from the gold and salt trade. The empires used this money to buy and sell salves. -
Central Africa Colonized
The Europeans finally colonized central Africa in the 1800s. The area had fought off the Europeans because of malaria and other barriers, but eventually the Europeans won out. -
Slave Trade
Slaves were bought and sold across the Pacific Ocean. The United States were importing slaves from Africa. Slaves had rough journies and lived horrible lives. -
Bloody Sunday
A group of peaceful protesters gathered in St, Petersburg. Guards fired openly into the crowd and many were wounded or killed. The protest was halted and word spread quickly. -
Assassination of Ferdinand
The Archduke Ferdinand was assassinated in 1914. This event was known to spark uproar that caused World War 1. -
Start of World War 1
World War 1 officially begins when Germany invades Belgium in 1914. Germany wanted a better attack on France, therefore they had to get through Belgium. Soon, Belgium revolts and a war uprises. -
The Sinking of Lusitania
The submarine is torpedoed by a German submarine in 1915. 1,198 people are on the ship along with 128 American passengers. The ship was taken down because it carried war ammunition’s for the British. -
U.S. Enters the War
The United States declares war against Germany. They enter on the side of the allies, fighting with France and Britain. The United Stges has to adapt to drafting and monitoring their spendings. -
Joseph Stalin
Stalin takes control of the Communist Party in 1928 to end the revolution. His first plan is to industrialize Russia. He took total control of Russia and was a very awful leader. -
Hitler invades Poland
Hitler take troops into Poland because he wants land and more power. Two days later Britain and France declare war on Germany. After taking Poland, Hitler continues to invade more countries. -
Pearl Harbor
Japan bombs Pearl Harbor in 1941. This causes the US to enter the war. The US was nutreul on the war, but from this action we took a stand. -
Battle of Midway
The battle of midway was the turning point for the United States. While Japan was island hopping, the US stopped them at Midway. This allowed the United States to take control of the war. -
D-Day
This was the allied invasion of France in 1954. American and British forces landed on the beaches of Normandy and took charge on France. This was the largest air, land, and sea invasion. This sparked the end of the war. -
Japan’s Surrenders
The US drops multiple bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. This forces Japan to surrender, and the war is officially over. -
Iron Curtain Speech
Churchill delivers a speech to the people stating that “an iron curtain has been dropped on Europe.” By this, he was talking about the communist versus capitalists. All of Europe was split in half by these groups. -
Berlin Wall
A Wall is built between East and West Germany to separate the communist and the capitalists. The wall not only breaks up the country but towns and friends as well. -
Cuban Missle Crisis
A US plane reported a sighting of production of a nuclear missle. President Kennedy puts up a blockade and avoids war when Russia agrees to remove the weapons. -
Space Race
The Untied States and Russia both fight to be the first citizens in space. Although the Russians were the first people to get in space, the US launches Apollo 11 which carries the first man to the moon. -
Fall of Berlin Wall
The wall was finally torn down by citizens in 1989. The falling of the wall symbolized the merging of the countries people. The people wanted it down for equal rights and a nationality.
