The Law banned settlement in certain western lands.THe law's purpose was to reduce tensions between thr colonists and the Native Americans.

Sugar Act of 1764

This Law Taxed All Cloth,Sugar,Coffee,and wine coming in to the colonies.This law required Tabacco,sugar,and timber products to be shiped directly to Britain.This Act was passed to stop smuggling of goods into and out of the colonies.

Quartering Act

This Law required colonists who wer inkeepers or public officials to house and feed british soldiers.

Declarartory Act

This law gave parliament the right to pass laws for the colonies in "all cases what so ever".The purpose of the act was to remind the colonists that the authority of the king and parlaiment was superior to colonial governments.

Stamp Act

This Law imposed tax on every legal document ,news-paper,pamphletand deck of cards coming into the colonies.

Sons of Liberty

This group organized resistance to the stamp act.

Boston Massacre

Mar 5, 1770

In this event,british troops opened fire on a group of protestors outside the customs house in Boston.The Colonists believed that the british government would use military force to make them obey the laws.

Tea Act

May 10, 1773

This law gave the east idin company the sole right to sell tea to the colonies.The purpose was to keep the company from going broke.
