  • Television (CRT TV)

    Television (CRT TV)
•A CRT TV is a type of CRT television that was most widely used before the invention of the flat-screen television. CRT stands for cathode ray tube.  •I remember when I was a child, I was so happy when I was watching on our television. Back then, the television was bigger and had a back, quite different from the LED and LCD TVs of today. I love watching cartoons.
  • Books

    Books
•A book is a medium for recording information in the form of writing or images, typically composed of many pages bound together and protected by a cover. •I think I was 4 years old when I started to be exposed to reading books as a preparation for kindergarten. One of the most memorable books that I have read is the ABAKADA book (I think most of the children learned to read because of this book).
  • Keypad Mobile Phone

    Keypad Mobile Phone
•These are cell phones that have physical keypads on the device. Standard or QWERTY keypad phones can differ in layout.  •These types of phones are the most popular at the moment. I remember back then, I always borrowed my mom's or dad's mobile phone to play games. My favorites are Bounce and Snake!
  • Nintendo DSi

    Nintendo DSi
•A handheld game console from Nintendo (the Nintendo DSi). Introduced in 2008, it superseded the Nintendo DS.  •Back then, the Nintendo DSi grew in popularity in the Philippines, and a lot of kids had one, including my cousin and aunt. I also want to have one, so I requested it of my lola, and luckily, she bought me one.
  • PSP

    PSP
•The PlayStation Portable (PSP) is a handheld game console developed and marketed by Sony Computer Entertainment. •When I was a child, every summer we would go to my aunt's house, and I liked playing with my cousin's PlayStation. My favorites are Who Wants to Be a Billionaire? and Grand Theft Auto.
  • Computer

    Computer
•A pisonet, also known as a piso wifi, is a "mini-type" internet cafe or computer shop mainly found in the areas of Metro Manila and the Philippines. •Pisonet is an accessible device that I often used when I was young. Since it doesn't cost that much, I always play Y8 and Friv on the computer.
  • Facebook

    Facebook
•Facebook is a social networking website that was founded in February 2004. The idea behind Facebook was to provide an online "directory of faces" for university students to connect and share information. •As far as I know, I was 7 years old when I first had a Facebook account. It was created by my aunt. Before, there were a lot of games you could play on Facebook, such as Pet Society and Tetris.
  • Movie

    Movie
•A story or event recorded by a camera as a set of moving images and shown in a theater or on television; a motion picture. •I think all of us have at least watched FROZEN, right? It is a movie that was a part of my childhood, and it is something I will never forget. Let it go.
  • Tablet

    Tablet
•A tablet is a wireless, portable personal computer with a touchscreen interface. The tablet form factor is typically smaller than a notebook computer but larger than a smartphone. •Part of my childhood was spent using my tablet (but actually, I think it was a phonetab), which was my dad's gift to me for my birthday. I often use it to play a lot of games.
  • Cellphone / Smartphone

    Cellphone / Smartphone
•A mobile phone that performs many of the functions of a computer, typically having a touchscreen interface, internet access, and an operating system capable of running downloaded applications. •As a Filipino, it is a typical tradition or way in our family to pass on a specific thing to younger ones when you have a new one. and that includes my cellphone. I'm not sure, but I think my first cellphone was the one that my older cousin used before it was given to me.
  • E-Book

    E-Book
•A book in electronic form that can be read on a computer or handheld device rather than in print. •A certain e-book app named Wattpad was really popular back then, and as a curious person, I also downloaded it and tried reading a few books. My favorite is Hell University by KnightInBlack.
  • Youtube

    Youtube
•YouTube is a free video-sharing website owned by Google. The name “YouTube” is said to be derived from "you,” which means you, and "tube," which means television. •Honestly, I'm not sure if this is the year when I first started using YouTube, but I was active in using it during this time. But up until now, YouTube has been a very useful app for me.
  • Nintendo Switch

    Nintendo Switch
•The device is called the Switch because it can be used three ways: handheld, tabletop, and TV. In tabletop and TV modes, the game controls detach from the screen. •My rich cousin has a lot of gadgets, and one of them is the Nintendo Switch. Before the pandemic happened, he always went to our house to play with us (with my other cousins).
  • Twitter and Instagram

    Twitter and Instagram
•Twitter is a microblogging social media site, and Instagram is a photo-sharing platform. Both have distinct applications and are still growing. •Before the pandemic, I didn't have time to use these apps, but since we had a lot of free time and I was curious, I learned how to use them. Now, I use these apps often.
  • Laptop

    Laptop
•A portable computer is usually battery-powered, small enough to rest on the user's lap, and has a screen that closes over the keyboard like a lid. •A laptop is a very useful device, especially now that I am in senior high school. Every time I am doing my research (as well as the research paper), I'm using it, and it lessens my work. My laptop is a Chromebook.
