Ferdinand Magellan’s Expedition
Portuguese explorer Ferdinand Magellan, was sailing to get to Spain, and embarked on the first expedition to get around the globe. Magellan was killed in the Philippines, but his crew, led by Juan Sebastián Elcano, completed the journey.
