Along with the Louisiana purchase brought all the acts that came with it. with all these new policies and new things happening the military needed more land to work with and with expanding it would give them political and new territories to support the move. -

In society there was this idea that Americans had a different view on native Americans and Mexicans, with this came the pushover to expand more land that was taken by the native Americans. which just pushed progress backwards but it influenced indigenous population decreasing. -

The European powers had a strong impact on the Americas design to expand because they gave up a heavy competition that the us saw as inevitable to upgrade the trade routes, and political dominance to make it stronger and secure it. -
Destiny ideology
This belief was a national mission that pushed westward expansion for the u.s.. This motivated the leaders and military participants to see the expansion as the nations fate. So they had people across the board for the expansion of the nationalism aspect. -
Technology
There were multiple developments throughout the years in this time such as railroads,farming, and telegraph. Due to this it became easier to migrate meaning they needed more transportation which convinced them to expand so they can fit all the needs due to the new technology bringing people in. -
Economic and peer pressure
Because of all the political moves the population grew fast and due to that there was heavy demand for land specifically for farming used to bring up the economic side of it. With this it brought up prices and overcrowding of lands. This gave them the demand to move westward, due to the strong population growth. -
Land hunger and opportunities
The idea of cheap and young land in the west was a strong motivation for people who had independence within farming. The land being passed down family generations would open the goal of making the expansion a huge goal for settlers.
