    My father purchased my mother a Motorola Bag phone for her use as a home health Hospice RN. He also purchased an antenna for on top of her car to boost her signal since we lived out in the country.

  • First family Computer purchased

    Dial up internet services began to be utilized in 1995, but it was not until the latter decade my family purchased our first home computer. It was a systemaxx.     My parents traded in the bag phone on two rather large black Nokia cell phones. Service in the rural areas was improving, however service was still sketchy in areas

  • Elementary School receives first Smart board

    During my 4th grade year. My classroom was selected as the first in West Virginia to receive a Smart Board. I remember the company came to the classroom and used a small demo board to show its functions. The demo board was set on a small table.

    My father on a whim decided he wanted a new TV and so he went to Best Buy and purchased a Samsung Smart LED TV. It was mounted on the wall like a picture frame. He never used the smart features.
