At the ending of this century more centers were opened like ''Sacedón'', ''Trillo'', ''Marmolejo'' and ''Puente viejo''.     In 1905 a ''National Commission'' was created. A Comission responsible of promoting in Spain artistic excursions for the entertainment of the tourists form other countries. The Ministry of development had to calculate the amount the money destinied for this purpose.

    IForeign policy February 1950, the United States supported a UN resolution lifting the boycott on Franco's regime and resumed full diplomatic relations with Spain in 1951. It took 5 years to the UN for approving Spain's membership.

    Ministry of Information and Tourism begins a revitalization of Spanish tourism industry in 1962. Administration was complemented with institutions such as this school, which instructed students of Tourism and experts in Tourism industry.

  • Football World Cup

    Football World Cup
    The Spanish Football Wordl Cup of 1982's mascot was Naranjito, still an icon of a generation. The opening ceremony took place in Camp Nou Stadium, in Barcelona. The winner of the Cup was Italy.
  • Schengen Agreement

    Schengen Agreement
    The treaty was signed on 14 June 1985 by five of the ten member states of the then European Economic Community near the town of Schengen in Luxembourg but was not implemented (partially) until 1995. It proposed the gradual abolition of border checks at the signatories' common borders. Measures proposed included reduced speed vehicle checks which allowed vehicles to cross borders without stopping, allowing of residents in border areas freedom to cross borders away from fixed checkpoints.
