The Stamp Act
Passed by the Parliament. A tax on colonists that cost them a fee on every printed paper. Even Playing Cards were taxed. -
Boston Massacre
It was a street fight between rioters who were throwing snowballs, stones, and sticks at a group of British Soldiers. Took place in Boston Massachusetts. This resulted in 5 colonists dead. -
The Boston Tea Party
Colonists protested by dumping 342 chests of tea into the water, imported from europe. Which then lead to the intolerable act. -
Intolerable Acts
They were laws passed by the Parliament in response to the Boston Tea Party. The laws were meant to punish the massachusetts colonists.

1st Continental Congress
After Parliament created more laws to punish colonists, Delegates from every colony (except Georgia) converged to discuss the matters. They spoke about the worsening problem and plans. They wrote a Declaration of Rights to King George, They also urged to stop trade with England until the laws are removed. -
Battle of Lexington and Concord
This started the American revolution. 49 killed. Between colonists and the british authorities. -
2nd Continental Congress
Each of the 13 colonies sent reps. They drafted the Olive Branch Petition. They served as the first government. -
Declaration of Independence
It declared independence from British rule for the Colonists. It was a summary of what the colonists motivation for independence was. Written by, Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin, John Adams, Roger Sherman, and Robert R Livingston. -
End of the American Revolution
After the Treaty of Paris was signed, it made The Colonists free from british rule. Over 24,000 british troops died. The Revolution was sparked because of the colonists no longer wanting to be under the british rule and wished to be independent.
