Abolitionist Movement
The Abolitionist movement was an effort to end slavery in a nation that valued personal freedom and believed that all men are equal it didnt matter what race they were. Over time, abolitionists grew more angry in their demands. The reason of why this could have cause the civil was was that there were people that wanted to have slavery so reasons like that caused the Civil War. -
Nat Turner’s Rebellion
Nat Turner was a Black slave who he and more people had killed about 60 White men. Nat turner along with 55 people went violently uprising against slavery. That it why Nat's rebellion is one of the causes of the Civil War; for standing up for what belives in. in what he thinks its fair. -

Fugitive Slave Act/Underground Railroad
The Fugitive Slave Act was part of the Compromise of 1850 between Southern slave-holding interests and Northern Free-Soilers. Northern fears of a "slave power conspiracy" was heightened by The Fugitive Slave Act which was the most controversial element of the 1850 compromise.
The underground movement is responsible for about 70,000 slaves escaped into Canada. -
Uncle Tom's Cabin
Uncle Toms Cabin is about, a charater uncle tom who is a black slave that everyone revolves around him. The novel also shows how slavery really was, and as well as how christianity can help resolve anything like slavery. The book helped cause the cicil war because it went against slavery, and thats what some people didnt like. -

(Not sure what month and day it ended) Kanas was called the Bleeding kansas for all the violence that ther was during that time. it all started becuase of the Kansas-Nebraska Act when it backedfired from the Missury compromise. where if slave or free territory. -
Dred Scott Decision
the right of slave owners to take their slaves into the Western territories, thereby negating the doctrine of popular sovereignty and severely undermining the platform of the newly created Republican Party. The reson of it could have caused the Civil War is because most of the people were not agreeing to what was done. -
The Election of 1860
Abraham was arguing against the spread of slavery. while others disliked the idea. they thought slaver was right! Abraham Lincoln was elected as presedent. The significance of this causing the civil war was that they were against what Abraham argued with. -
Southern Secession
the Southern Secession led to the origin of the Confederacy and eventually the Civil War. It was the most serious secession in the United States at the time and was defeated after the civil war. The significance of the Southern Secession to the Civil War was, other wanted to keep slavery rather than others that didnt want to keep slavery.
