  • Battle of Conception

    On October the 27th 1835, General Austin Saint Colonel James Bowie and Captain James W Fannin with the 92 men, to select a suitable camping ground near San Antonio as practicable. It had a big impact by being a show to the Mexican government that we are a strong and capable army.
  • Battle of the Alamo

    On February the 23rd 1836, the Battle of the Alamo took place. The battle was mostly volunteers and Colonel Travis. The impact this had on the Texas Revolution was even though we lost, we fought hard and showed the Mexicans what we could do. People say "Remember the alamo" for a reason!
  • TRAVIS' LETTER

    On February the 24th 1836, William Travis sent a letter to the American Army stating that he needed backup at the Alamo. It had an impact because he needed backup at the Alamo, and, maybe if he had enough they would have won instead of the Mexican.
  • Runaway Scrape

    On March the 6th 1836, the Alamo was destroyed and 189 Texans died. On March 11, 1836, Sam Houston arrived in Gonzales amid rumors about the fall of the Alamo. Then Santa Anna made a letter stating "I'm coming and if any of you stand in my way you will die!" Then they all ran away and burnt their houses. The impact this had was us trying to protect each other and run away, so there was no more fighting.
  • The mission at Goliad

    On March the 27th 1836, the Goliad massacre took place. On March 13th Fannin was ordered to retreat, but he didn't retreat until March 19th, because of various things slowing him down. Fannin was caught by the Mexican forces and surrounded by them, then the Mexican forces pushed in and captured Fannin and his men. The impact it had on the revolution was how it showed that Santa Ana was a little crazy. Also after this, we got the attention of others who wanted to help us.
  • The Battle Of Gonzales

    On October 2, 1835, the Battle of Gonzales took place. It was the first military engagement of the Texas Revolution. Their famous saying was "Come and take it!"
