Jinnah-Gandhi Talks
Jinnah, with the approval of the Muslim League, agreed to meet Gandhi in Bombay. The Talks lasted from September 19, 1944 to September 24, 1944. The talk ended with no result as Gandhi wanted to transfer all powers to congress after attaining freedom from British and then they would give freedom to muslims but Mr.Jinnah didnot agree upon this as he knew that hindus will never think in favour of muslims and he still kept his demand for separate state. Thus the talk ended in smoke. -

Simla Conference
Britain offers to transfer powers. For this they called a conference at Simla. but that conference failed because Jinnah said that it is the right of Muslim League to choose Muslim representative but congress wanted to choose Muslim representatives from congress party. -

In 1945 there were elections in which Congress got success from the Hindu majority and Muslim League got success from Muslim majority and thus it made clear that Muslim League is the sole representative of Muslims of India. -
Cabinet Mission Plan
The Cabinet Mission came to India aimed to discuss the transfer of power from the British government to the Indian leadership, with the aim of preserving India's unity and granting it independence.But Cabinet mission failed due to the reason that it proposed weak centre. But Congress wanted strong centre and Congress demanded removal of league members but league demanded for dissolution of assembly. -
