The St. Bartholomew's Day massacre was a group of many killers and a waves of Catholic violence, the Catholics were against the Huguenots during the French Wars of Religion. An Estimate of over 3,000 people have died on that day. -
Edict of Nantes
The Edict of Nantes was signed by King Henry Vl of France,this gave Calvinists Protestants substantial rights in the nation. Henry wanted to have unity in his people. -
30 Years War
Fought in central Europe, the 30 Years War was mainly fought becuase even though the two religions were at peace for awhile, fighting soon broke out from many issues in the system. The war lasted 30 years and ended in 1648. Many people were killed while the majority died from disease and starvation. -
Treaty of Westphalia
The combined name of two seperate peace treaties. These treaties declared the end if the 30 Year War and brought peace to thee Holy Roman Empire. This treaty also strengthen relationships between countries and could now work more closely together, such as entering peace and war with foreigners.
