His name was Augustus. Because the Roman Empire was a republic, today a lot of areas today are republics and the citizens pick their leaders.

    The Crusades began because of the massacre of 3000 christian pilgrims. The Eastern Mediterranean wanted to get back their religious land. The most successful crusade was the 1st Crusade. It was lead by Godfrey of Bouillon in August of 1096. There was a total of nine crusades.

Trade makes it so we can buy and sell things throughout the country to make money and get resources we cannot access. Because of all the disease a lot of the peasants died and the ones who lived demanded for pay to their work.

WWI started because of the assassination of Archduke Ferdinand.
