    Anabaptist

    Anabaptists believed in adult baptism and that believers are equal. They lived communally with no church hierarchy and anyone in the community could be minister. Today they are called the Amish or Mennonites.

    Dante was a Italian philosopher and a writer. He was best known for his piece "The Divine Comedy"
  • 1353

    Black Death

    The Black Death was a disease that passed in rats from fleas by contact. The Black Death killed 75-200 million roughly 60% of the population. It took Europe roughly 200 years the repopulate.

    Henry VIII

    King Henry was a man that desperately wanted a male heir so when it came time for his wife Catherine to have her child, he was angry that it was a girl. He sent a letter to the church claiming that he no longer loved her and wanted a divorce, the church said no and she was killed on terms of adultery. this repeated 2 more times and then made a new religion.

    John Calvin

    Jon Calvin was a man that converted to Protestantism at the age of 25, he believed that the catholic church had fallen from the original christian church. he believed in predestination.

    Reformation

    Problems start up with the church, the popes and leaders become heavily involved in the political matters and cannot meet the spiritual needs of the city. This act of the church forms a new religion called "Christian Humanism". This religion has simpler christian faiths and they had a goal to reform the church from within itself.

    Machiavelli was a Italian philosopher and political writer. Best known for "The Prince".

    Shakespeare was and English play writer. He was so good at what he did that his plays are still preformed to this day. Some of his plays are Romeo and Juliet, Hamlet, and The Tempest.
