High School Career
Freshman to Senior Year -
New friends
Erika Meador was the first new friend I made at Etowah. I'm happy to say we are still friends today. I know we have both made a huge impact on each other's lives. -
Small Group
I was in a small group my freshman year at Hillside UMC. Most of the girls in it were older than me, and I learned a lot from them and their stories. -
My brother graduated
Seeing my brother graduate, while I was a graduating freshman, made me excited to graduate myself. -
Last day of Freshman Year
This is Clara and I. I grew up across the street from her and she influenced me to come to public school from being homeschooled. Though we aren't as close as we used to be, she made a huge impact on my life. -
Spent the summer in Florida
My best friend (who is basically family) had moved to Pensacola earlier that year, so I spent June and most of July living with her and her family. It was my first time being away from my family for a long period of time. -
Went on First Date
My mother had a list of interview questions and made of copy of his new driver's license - I believe that's enough. -
My Mom
She has been more like a best friend than a mom, always listening to me and guiding me in the right path. Throughout high school, we grew closer and closer. Leaving her in the fall will be very hard. -
Became friends with Abby Deane
This is an important life event because she has made an incredible impact on my life. And I know Mr. Coker loved having us both in front of his desk all year, so I thought he would appreciate this. -
Homecoming 2010
These girls ended up being some of my best friends at Etowah. -
Involved with Prayer and Praise Church
I started going to Prayer and Praise Church Youth Ministries, and made friendships there I still have today. -
My first serious relationship
I had dated before, but Chris was my first serious boyfriend. I learned a lot from dating him, but the most important lesson was probably to not date guys like him. -
First job at Zaxby's
I started working at Zaxby's the summer after my sophomore year. I've kept this job since. Though I may not like it at times, my coworkers and the experiences I've had there truly helped me grow. -
Snowbird Summer Camp
I went to SWO twice, once in the summer of 2011 and again in 2012. It is a life-changing experience and I wish that every high schooler had the chance to go. -

Homschooled for a semester
I decided I wanted to be homeschooled my junior year. I ended up going back to Etowah for the second semester due to my credits possibly not being accredited. I was homeschooled until 8th grade so it was nothing new. -
Got in my first accident
Got T-Boned in an intersection by failing to completely yield on a left-turn green light... There was a dump truck making a turn so I thought it was safe to go, but obviously not. Lessoned learned: drive faster. I'm kidding, but I am afraid of that intersection now. -
Became a Small Group Leader
I became a small group leader in September of my senior year for 7th grade girls at Watermarke Church. These girls have taught me more than I have taught them. I am so thankful to have been able to get this experience. -
Decided on North Georgia College & State University
I had been stuck between Liberty University, Georgia Southern, and North Georgia. I visited North Ga in the fall. After doing more and more research, I realized that North Ga was the place for me. I can't wait to live there in the fall. -
Got a tattoo
Sort of a spur of the moment idea, but it was something I had wanted for years. -
Prom 2013
A great way to end senior year. Abby is still one of my closest friends, and I plan on visiting her often at UGA.
