Proclimation of 1763 was written
Purpose: Set a boundry at the Appilatian Mountians as temporary western border for colonists and colonies. Affect: Angered colonists that owned land and investors that bought land in the western areas of America. -
Sugar Act
Purpose: Lowered taxes on imported molasses Affect: Colonists believed that the Acts of the British violated ir interferred with their rights. -
Stamp Act
Purpose: To place a tax and put a stamp on almost all printed goods. Affect: Taxed withoutcolonist's concent and because of that the colonists got mad. -
Declaratory Act
Purpose: Placed tax on common items Affect: People got mad and started boycotting common goods -
Tea Acts
Purpose: Let British compinies have soul controll of tea trade in America. Affect: Caused the colonists to boycott importating tea, and even buying tea. -
Townshend Act
Purpose: To only tax imported goods like glass, tea, and paper Afect: Both smuggling and the anger levels in the colonists went down a lot. -
Coercive Act
Purpose: To punish people of Massachussettes for resistance of British law Affect: Prevented arrival of food and other goods -
Quebec Act
Purpose: Passed by British Parliment to institure perminate adminisration in Canada Affect: Angered Americans coloists said the act Britian passed were "intolerable"
