Setting up the shuttle
Operation for shuttle construction begins today. This will take approximetly 3 years to build. A heat shield will be built, along with a recycle system. The shuttle will hold possibly 1-2 people, with room for beds and a toilet. Food will be nonperishable, including canned foods. Tightly shut shelves will hold the food, and data collected just so it won't fly away, as well as instruments needed on the planet. Those are just a few main points of the shuttle. -

Training
Meanwhile, the 2 astronauts taking this endeavor will be trained. The idea is to lock them in a room for atleast a week, experiencing what Mars is like without personal contact, no help, etc. They will be trained in cases of emergencies, and how to breathe the oxygen and successfully collect data on the planet with the tools provided. -
Ready!
By this time, it's estimated that the shuttle will be ready with all necessary equipment and tools. -
TAKE OFF!
With many tests and operations, the shuttle will be ready. It is then moved to the launchpad to get loaded with supplies like food, water, oxygen, tools, etc. Because of the way it was constructed, the shuttle is faster than usual. Usually, faster shuttles get to terrestrial planets in a shorter amount of time. The shuttle could possibly land in 150-300 days. -
Landing
The shuttle has finally landed Mars successfully. There were no issues during flight, and all worked out well. -
Exploring
For the next couple of months, the astronauts will be exploring the planet, gathering rock samples, minerals, looking at the volcanoes, structures, etc. Finally once they got all the evidence they need, they will head back to our Planet Earth. -
Home Sweet Home
If everything plans out well, our mission should be complete somewhere in 2020. With no failures, or issues, this mission could be very successful. If the right people are chosen, and the shuttle is constructed and tested correctly, our fellow astronauts should come back with incredible information about Mars.
