EIA was created by the United States government in 1969 in order to have government regulation over unused terrains that will be worked on, to see if a terrain is healthy or not to work on. -
Montreal Protocol Target Year
Organized by UNEP 30 countries got together to cut CFC emissions by half by 2000. -
Kyoto Protocol
Goal to reduce greenhouse gas by 5% by 2012. -
Gothenberg Protocol
Setting emission ceilings for 4 pollutants sulfur, nitrogen oxide, volatile organic compounds and ammonia. Also limiting values for specific emission values. -
Millennium Development Goals 2005-15, 2015-present Sustainable Development Goals
MDG was established in 2005 at the UN Summit in New York. A document with three chapters was published : Freedom from Want, Freedom from Fear, Freedom to Live in Dignity. In 2015 this became 17 Sustainable Development Goals, targeting 2030 to achieve these goals.
