I'm developing my trust to human beings and everything is new to me. -

Trust vs. mistrust ; from birth to a year old. If needs are dependably met, infnants develop a sense of basic trust. -
Learning to Walk
Learning to walk was the beginning of me learning to exercise my own free will. -

Toddlerhood
Autonomy vs. shame and doubt; 1 to 2 years. Toddlers learn to exercise will and do things for themselves, or they doubt their abilities. -

Preschooler
Initiative vs. guilt; 3 to 5 years; preschoolers learn to initiate tasks and carry out plans, or they feel guilty about efforts to be independent. -

Elementary school
Competence vs. inferiority; 6 years to puberty; children learn the pleasure of applying themselves to tasks, or they feel inferior. -
Learning to ride a bike
I was applying myself to a task and learning something new and exiting. -

Adolescence
Identity vs. role cofusion; teen years into 20s; Teenagers work at refining a sense of self by testing roles and then integrating them to form a single identity, or they become confused about who they are. -
School Musical
Being in "Hairspray" helped me come out of my shell a bit. It gave me confidence and it also helped me find a career path, theatre. -
Graduating high school
I will take what I learned at Park Hill and carry it with me to college. The memories that I made in high school will last me my entire lifetime. -

Young Adulthood
Intimacy vs. isolation; 20s to early 40s; Young adults struggle to form close relationships and to gain the capacity for intimate love, or they feel socially isolated. -
Graduating from college
I will take what I learned from UMKC and create my career in theatre. -
Stage Manager for a Play
My first job in my career and I'm doing what I love which is working in theatre. -
Getting Married
I joined in unity with my spouse. Decisions will be made by the both of us. I also have to take my spouse's opinion into acount. -
Birth of my Child
All of my responsiblities will change and I will have to guide this child through the world. Everything will revolve around my child. -

Middle Adulthood
Generativity vs. Stagnation; 40s to 60s; In middle age, people discover a sense of contributing to the world, usually through family and work, or they may feel a lack of purpose. -
Advocacy Work for Theatre
I plan to be an advocate for theatre in high schools and I want to share why I think theatre is important. This is my way of contributing to our society. -

Late Adulthood
Integrity vs. despair; late 60s and up; when reflecting on his or her life, the older adult may feel a sense of satisfaction or failure.
