Frederick's Psychosocial Development

    In Erikson's fourth stage, industry versus inferiority, the crisis is between becoming confident in mastering skills (industry) and feeling incompetent or below average (inferiority).
  • Frederick tries out theatre by joining the drama club in high school.

    In Erikson's fifth stage, identity versus identity confusion, the crisis is between developing an understanding of the self (identity) and feeling unsure of one's place in life (identity confusion).
  • Frederick has decided to instruct at a theater to help young adults become actors and actresses.

    In Erikson's seventh stage, generativity versus stagnation, the crisis is between making a contribution towards the success and well-being of the next generation (generativity) and being self-centered or uninterested in others.
