Erikson's Fifth stage Identity Versus Role Confusion, this is the point when new experiences, opportunities and self discovery takes place in our discovery in Identity.It becomes the transition between childhood and adulthood. Otherwise when we feel we cant fit in our society can result in confusion and poor sense of self.

    Cooper Gets Married: Intimacy versus Isolation
    Cooper (age 28) marries his college girlfriend Bailey. They build a trusting loving relationship and he wants her to be his long lasting partner for the rest of his life. In Erikson's Sixth stage Intimacy Versus Isolation , this is the point when we attempt to form long term relationships/ commitments outside of our family or decide to be isolated and less committed to relationships.

    Cooper Retires: Integrity Versus Despair
    Cooper (age:69) has retired from his job and lives in a lake house enjoying his retirement and the company of his his wife and family. Erikson's eighth stage is Integrity Versus Despair, is our final stage where we slow down and reflect on everything we have done. The Success is the belief we have obtain our goals and having the feeling of integrity. However feeling that we have failed will bring the feeing of Despair , regretting the things that could done.
