Trust vs Mistrust
Michael was born on May 23, 2017. This photo shows the trust between my nephews, Michael and his older brother Ikuna. In Erikson's first stage, Trust vs Mistrust, is the crisis feeling safe or loved by an individual. -
Autonomy vs Shame and Doubt
Ikuna is hugging his brother,Taniela because he ready and excited for school. In Eriksons second stage, Autonomy vs Shame and Doubt, the crisis is between his older brother ready to become an independent brother and is ready to be able to make different choices and to meet new people. -
Initiative vs Guilt
The day, I left my nephews in California to come to school in Alaska. In the Erikson's third stage, Initiative vs guilt, the crisis is between myself for leaving them and going to school in Alaska, knowing I can be there for them and raise them to be a good, smart, and intelligent nephews. The guilt I feel everyday, and not being there seems a bit selfish for not being there with them.
