Erik Erikson Stages of Development

  • Stage 1

    Stage 1
    Basic Trust vs Mistrust: When I was born I was learning as a newborn baby who I trusted when I first came into the world. One person that I would never cry when held by was my mom. I would only let certain people hold me and that shows trust.
  • Stage 2

    Stage 2
    In this stage I was around 2-4. I was learning things in life and learning how to do things in this world and becoming older.
  • Stage 3

    Stage 3
    In this stage I was 4-5. I was learning the rights and wrongs of the world and learning things that were acceptable and things that were not.
  • Stage 4

    Stage 4
    In this stage I was 5-12. I was making friends and opening my trust circle more. I had began school and stared to learn more about how to live in the world.
  • Stage 5

    Stage 5
    In this stage of my life (it is the current stage) ages 13-19. This is the most important stage in my opinion because it is me learning who I am and how I need to survive in this world. It involved lots of life lessons and a lot of self identification and acceptance for myself.
  • Stage 6

    Stage 6
    This stage I will be 20-40. I Will be meeting people in my life and actually getting my own life together and be on my own with the acception of the help I have from family and friends.
  • Stage 7

    Stage 7
    In this stage I will be 40-65. I will have learned the ropes of life by now but not completely yet. I will be with my own family that I watch grow and the people and children in my life will also go through the stages and I will help them as the people in my life helped me.
  • Stage 8

    Stage 8
    In this stage it will be from age 65-death. At this point I will be happy and understand more than ever at this point. I will know how to survive in this world and live the rest of my life without stress and with my soulmate and myself.
